Gwenevere had had a long day of hunting, without much to show for it. She had chased off all of the rabbits and went straight for the larger prey, such as deer. She only caught a small weak doe, but that was all she needed, for now that is. She looked up, the spring rains had just started, and a light rain was coming in from the east. It was just sprinkling at the moment, but as soon as Gwenevere stood up to find shelter, it started to downpour. Of course, it was just her luck to be rained on, not only that but she had not eaten much today. What next. Gwenevere let out a slight whimper. She didn't care much for the mud, but she needed to cross through it to get to her stone den. She had accidentally found the den one day while hunting. It wasn't the best but it kept her dry, and it was big enough for a mate, if she was lucky enough to ever get one.
Once inside her rocky den, Gwenevere layed down. She was ready for a long sleep, even if another wolf came by her den, she was used to it by now. It always happened to her, just part of her bad luck streak. She wasn't sure how she came upon the streak but whatever. It was going to be her time soon, maby. It all depends on what happenes in the next days.

Unluckily, Justyn had also happened to be out in the meadow that day. He knew it was going to rain, after all his nose was a pretty sharp thing. But his mood made him far too stubborn to turn and head home after he had come all this way for a nice hunt. He continued onward, knowing that any moment there would be a waterfall of rain pelting his back.
Actually, the scent of blood - a fresh kill - had drawn him closer in Gwenevere's direction. He realized he hadn't eaten in days, so it was no wonder that he was beginning to forumulate a plan on stealing this fresh meal away from the owner. He strode confidently forward, his tail held high, even as the downpour began.
A little while later, he found the doe's remains. She didn't look like she had been much, and there were only a few real mouthfuls left for Justyn. Slightly dissappointed that the killer was already gone, Justyn took a few moments of fun to chase away the crows who had already begun picking at the lifeless body. They were too quick for him snap at one, so he grew bored of it and tore of the chunks of meat that would be the tastiest.
After this he decided to seek shelter, maybe have a little nap now that his belly was somewhat satiated. Licking the blood off his lips, he started heading for the Cliffside - there were caverns and caves he knew off that would be private and dry.
He passed by the den that Gwenevere was in, but he stopped in his tracks. There was a fresh scent here; his nose caught the smell of blood and a wolf, even through the rain. His hackles rose, but his curiosity was far too great for him to turn tail and leave, not without knowing who it was hiding in the darkness. By the smell of it, it was probably the same wolf who had given Justyn his free morsel.
With a smirk, he approached the entrance of the den, sucking in a huge breath to fill his glands with the scent. He had no idea that he was about to come face to face with his second cousin, the daughter of his great uncle.
"Scared of a little water?" he called out into the den, raising his voice above the loudness of the rain storm.

Gwenevere recognized the smell that had just entered her den, it was the blood from her recently killed doe, on another wolf! She had no idea who it was but the scent was familiar, like someone that she knew a long time ago. She cracked her eyes open, just enough to see if the wolf was a male or female, it was a black and brown male, and he didn't look much older than herself. She stood up just as he asked, "Scared of a little water?" She darted forward, "No, not that it's any of your business." She loved to be sarcastic, not that it got her anywhere she just had fun with it. She stared right into the males eyes, "What is your name anyway?" She really wanted to know, just because she felt the need to know everything.
She was starting to get annoyed now, just because of the fact that a stranger just walked into her den, but little did she realize that he wasn't really a stranger at all.
