If there was one thing Duke had to appreciate about Myu, it was her blank honesty. She'd even phrased it in a way that made it seem like she was a little unsure of hurting his feelings- or perhaps it was just she could not be bothered to start a fight with the big scary Alpha. He must not make feelings up in his head.
Still, the honesty was refreshing. As far as he was concerned, he was the only one who saw straight through Rose's lies and knew every time he asked her if she was feeling okay that the bright smile and chipper tone meant nothing; she was screaming under it all. Rose's expression remained polite and charming as she listened to Myu. Duke took his eyes away from her.
"She irks many females, it would seem," he said, replying with the same blank honesty and a small, amused smile. It was more of a smirk really but it was the best Duke could do... being Duke. "She has a way with most males but females don't often warm to her." Rose coughed drily. "She's a little high-maintenance," she offered, looking away at the surroundings as if bored by the conversation. When she turned back, her expression was relaxed and conversational again. It was as if the bored expression hadn't existed. "But many males seem to like that in a female." she smiled.

Myu smiled a bit, nodding in agreement to what Duke said. She wasn’t irked by the fact she went around flirting with almost any male she bumped into(accidentally or not), it was just how snotty and egotistical she was about being Duke’s daughter. Of course she might have changed because of the earthquake, Myu had avoided her at all costs during their travelling, so perhaps Tallulah had changed for the better… But, after hearing Duke, perhaps not. She smirked a bit at what Rose said. It seemed to be the most polite way to describe the girl.
Myu didn’t take her eyes off of Rose. It was only the polite thing to do, but Rose looked almost bored. She ignored it, snorting slightly at the fact males liked high-maintained females. She had to agree, though. It was a little odd. Even if she appeared to be a bit of flirt and a heartbreaker, males still seemed to go for her. It was weird, and Myu wondered if males really were that stupid. Speaking of stupid males, she remembered about Justyn. The lovely beta male. “What about Justyn?” she asked casually, letting the wolf’s name roll off her tongue, “Is he what you expected from a Beta?” The question was mainly aimed at Duke, but Rose could answer if she wanted.

Duke bristled slightly at the mention of Justyn's name. He stared at Myu and felt like saying Don't mention the war. That insolent Beta of his wouldn't be his Beta for long if he wasn't careful. Duke rolled his shoulders for a minute, trying to work out the tension as he growled.
"Justyn needs a good scaring to stop him from trying to stand up to me," Duke growled, as if it were ridiculous for any wolf to try and stand up to him. In a way, that's exactly what he thought. Rose's ears flickered suddenly and her heart pounded heavier in her chest for a moment. She looked sharply at her father. "Standing up to you?" she demanded, forgetting Myu was there. Duke nodded and narrowed his eyes at Rose. "Yes. And he said you'd been talking to him." he growled. Rose stiffened but narrowed her eyes as well. "Why is he trying to stand up to?" Rose asked. Is he stupid? Did I not explain it right? Father and I are two lifelines wrapped together, did he not understand that or is he deliberately trying to hurt me? "I don't know, ask him," Duke snarled, getting more and more hostile. He was acutely aware of the fact Myu would be witnessing this entire conversation, and Rose seemed oblivious suddenly. "What did you say to one another?" Rose snapped. "Ask him, I'll only get angry talking about it," Duke hissed. "I need to know why the Alpha and Beta of the pack can't work together," Rose spat. Duke snarled loudly, threw a long stare at Myu for a moment too long, and then disappeared off into the trees, stalking away.
Rose blinked, running through a million things in her head, before turning back to Myu. She stumbled a bit mentally, and then suddenly got ahold of herself and rolled her eyes, relaxing as if she hadn't a care in the world. "Males," she rolled her eyes as if that would explain everything.

She knew that was probably a bad question. She watched Duke, seeing him bristle, seeing his shoulders tense. It felt a little odd watching him carefully like this, as if she was worried he would suddenly explode at the mention of Justyn’s name. She was suddenly curious, what had the Beta done to make Duke act like that at the mention of his name? Myu was about to say ‘go on, say it’, but held back. Whatever Duke wanted to say would be said inside his mind, and nowhere else. She would have raised an eyebrow if she had one at his answer. A good scaring? Being in front of Duke while he’s in a good mood would be scary enough. She smirked at the thought and was about to say something, but before she could open her mouth, Rose had spoken.
Myu quickly shot a glare at Rose, a little offended by the wolf. But she seemed more interested in Justyn than Myu was, so she stayed quiet. She then snapped her head at Duke when he answered her. Oooh, talking, eh? She thought a little teasingly, deciding that keeping quiet would make the conversation a bit more interesting. She could agree that the conversation was dying, and perhaps the topic of Justyn just spiced it up a bit. Rose looked a little offended by the fact Justyn had stood up to Duke. Perhaps he didn’t. Perhaps it was just Duke overreacting. She looked at Duke for a reply again, amused by his sudden anger at it. She smirked and looked at Rose quickly as she seemed to get a bit more angrier at it as well. He’ll only get angrier aobut it? Hahaha! Myu would have laughed if she wasn’t so against the sound.
She knew why Rose needed to know but, really, she had to keep her nose out of her father’s business. She was a Delta, not half-Alpha. Perhaps she was just being a bit biased and she wanted to let Duke have some space, but still. She stared right back at him, face calm, yet her eyes held a little bit of emotion. She didn’t really know how to feel about the argument, nor did she knew what to say, if anything. She didn’t, and when he stalked off Myu felt like walking away as well, as if it wasn’t worth staying anymore. She held her ground, looking at Rose to say something witty or to just walk off as well. Like father, like child, right? “Females cannot complain about males anymore until they start getting better taste in them.” she countered, getting to her feet and stretching her back legs. She had just openly insulted Duke’s daughter and, honestly, she didn’t feel too bad about it. She gave Rose an obvious fake smile before trotting off past her at a leisurely pace, leaving.
