Walking through the tall grass was slowly becoming a pain in Fallon's rear. Why she had decided to explore this part of the Moon territory she had no idea. The grass was getting itself tangled in her thick fur, and she found it hard for her to get through as it became wrapped in her belly fur. Her face which had been semi-pleasant earlier was now a scowl. This was ridiculous.
She finally stopped, fully annoyed now. She could see over the grass, but it never seemed to end. She could the mountains in the distance, but they seemed to be rather far off, and she was tired of walking. She wondered if there was at least any decent prey in the area, at least it'd be easy to get close to them in this grass. Or maybe not. It swayed so easily with the wind, she knew if she moved in it, it moved too. Giving away her position. This place was useless.
She sighed and sat down, flattening the grass beneath her. She looked up at the sky, surprised to find Justyn crossing her mind. She wondered what he was doing, and if she should try to find him. It wouldn't be a waste of time, she knew that. He was...interesting. She sighed, shaking the thought from her head. What had gotten into her lately?

Rose was fast asleep in the center of the heathland, curled up around her swollen belly and resting gently. She was at peace at the moment, dreams of Raiden and Justyn and the indistinct blurs of her future pups playing around in her imagination. However, she was a light sleeper, and so at the sound of another wolf making their way through the heathland, she opened her dark eyes sleepily and her ears flicked back gently.
She yawned, shaking her head, and lifted it but was unable to see past the tall grasses. It was quite irritating as she found she also could not smell the other wolf for a good few minutes, but finally the wind changed direction and she found Fallon's scent familiar. She'd never known Fallon well, but certainly knew of her.
"Fallon?" she called curiously.

At the sound of her name, Fallon's ears pricked. Apparently she wasn't alone here. She lifted her nose as the wind changed, and she caught Rose's scent. Royalty was nearby-great. She stood up, stretched a little and turned to where Rose's scent was coming from. She already knew she was there, might as well meet face to face.
It's me, she called out in reply, walking to where Rose was still laying on the ground. She looked down and saw that Rose's stomach bulged-was EVERY female in Caden Valley pregnant besides her? Seeing Rose put a frown on Fallon's face that she masked with a blank look. There would be soo many pups this year...perhaps too many. Fallon wasn't the kind to go gaga over cute things, especially pups. It meant attention would be taken away from her, and she was far to arrogant to accept that.
She tilted her head in what looked like curiosity, her green eyes fixed on Rose. If only she knew this was the female who had gotten into Justyn's heart. How are you? She asked, surprisingly cordial. She was displaying all kinds of weird characteristics lately.

Rose shrugged slightly, hefting gently upwards so she was sitting. She looked downwards as if just looking would tell her everything was in working order; she couldn't help but be a little paranoid. Her last litter had come out with Tammer, who had twisted legs to begin with in life, and never really got the chance to stretch them before the earthquake. How depressing.
Rose shook her head to remove the thought, and looked back up at Fallon, two dark eyes like jewels in very pale rock. "Pregnant," she rolled her eyes, as if that were answer enough, and smiled very slightly. "How about that?"
Rose didn't see why she couldn't attempt to keep the peace -as much as possible- within the Moons pack. Surely that would show strength, instead of weakness, to try and keep her head above the water in a sea of hostility? Time would tell success, and if she was fighting a losing battle. She was certainly too tired to fight at the moment.

Fallon tilted her head as she looked at Rose. She did not envy the female one bit. Walking around with little tumors in your stomach did not sound fun-after all being pregnant took everything out of you, even her mother hadn't had the strength to fight with her, physically or verbally. She nodded at Rose's response, not really knowing what else to do.
It was odd, seeing Duke's daughter out here in her current state. She tilted her head again. You look like you're about to burst. What are you doing way out here, of all places? The dens aren't close by, and this grass is like hell to walk through. She was being truthful, of all things. It was strange to see Rose here, and just when Fallon thought she had a moment alone too. Life just wasn't handing her any bones lately. She looked at Rose, her emeralds showing curiousity.
She couldn't help looking at Rose's "baby bump". At the rate Fallon was going, she wondered if she would ever experience what Rose was going through. She hadn't been able to catch the eye of a male yet, and even if she did her attitude was something to be dealt with. She would probably push them away. A silent sigh crept its way out of her mouth. She didn't necessarily want or need a mate, and she damn sure didn't want the pups, but she couldn't help feeling she was missing out on something. Hell, it seemed like everyone had gotten in on the action this year. She shouldn't expect less; after all, it was her first year of actually being able to mate, and the amount of decent males was....lacking to say the least.

Rose coughed slightly, body heaving for a short moment before settling again, and she closed her eyes to take in a few breaths. It most certainly did take everything out of you. She sighed very gently, shifted slightly again until she was more comfortable and looked back at Fallon.
"I don't know, it's not so bad. I always liked this Heathland," she smiled slightly as if sharing a private joke, although it was all really within her own memories. "But enough about me. How are you?"
That question obviously held many more behind it, depending on how talkative the fellow Moons female was. If she was anything generic she'd probably be tough, brush off anything vaguely emotional and speak in a fairly challenging tone. But that was just a stereotype, and Rose knew there were some differences between a stereotypical Moons female and an actual one.
