Squelch...squelch...squelch... The freezing wind ruffled Shiori's thick winter fur, as she slogged through the cold muck. The young female was tired, but she dared not stop and sit. The icy mud coated her legs and belly. If she sat, her fur would just accumulate even more mud. Her ears were flattened against the glacial winds, even as she forced her way against them.
Finally a relatively dry spot appeared out of the fog. Shiori dropped onto it with a sigh. She looked up at the sky, her eyes squinted against the lightly falling snow, trying to catch a glimpse of the sun. Unfortunately, the nearly perpetual cloud cover made it impossible to tell the time of day.
'Great,' Shiori grumbled. 'How did I get myself into this again?'

It was another one of those days when Raiden actually decided to make his presence known to the world, another one of those days where he wouldn't mind wondering along some random wolf's path. A sigh escaped his blackened lips as he moved through the thick snow that delayed his paws movements. It seemed like he'd been walking for miles, and his legs were beginning to burn with the exertion they were placed under.
His ears pricked as a voice was swept towards him on the bitter breeze. Only moments later he came upon the ebony colored female who'd spoken those words. "Into what?" he questioned, his voice thick, deep, and indifferent. Frankly, he wasn't interested in this female's problems but he was feeling kind today, so he'd listen. [/blockquote]
