Sarcasm?? That's twice that she managed to do that to him. Why was he taking her words so seriously? And now, because of that, he made himself look like a complete pansy. Disgusting. By the time they were both done with each other he'd have no more ego left to live on.
He eyed her curiously as her gaze swept across the snow. Quite suspicious... She was up to-- And that was when the snow pelted his face, getting into his eyes and nose and maybe even his ears. Out of the surprise he had backed away with a snarl, his lips curled up to show his fangs. As soon as he shot backwards, however, his rump slammed into a tree trunk, and the snarl turned into a painful yelp.
"DAMMIT," he said as he let himself fall sideways into the snow. With his pride completely damaged, he refused to look at Fallon whatsoever - not that he could see very well with snow in his eyes- and he didn't even bring himself to shake the snow off of his face. "Clearly, you WANT the bad beta!!" he said through clenched teeth. His tone of voice was more subdued than normal. Still, he lay falt in the snow, like he was dying in battle.

Fallon couldn't help herself. The second he rear ended the tree, she broke out into hysterical laughter. The sight of him lying in the snow just made it worse. She snorted when she laughed, paused out of embarrasment, then kept right on laughing. She panted as she tried to control herself, finally starting to calm down.
A-are you o-o-okay, Pudgykins? She mustered, then trying to catch her breath between the onslaught of giggles. She walked over to him and nudged him with her nose, green eyes bright against her brown fur. She nudged him again, pushing hard into his cheek. Oh come on now, do get it up. Just a little joke, you can handle it can't you? Get up Justyn. She backed away a few steps and shook her head. Lying in the snow wouldn't earn him pity or sympathy. The game wouldn't be fun anymore if he just stayed there.
Suddenly, she realized what he had said after his performance. Clearly, you WANT the bad beta. What the hell did he mean by that? Her eyes suddenly cut into a glare. Now what were you saying earlier? I want the "bad beta"? Just what exactly do you mean, hmm Justyn? She threw her head back in a scoff, as if she had been offended. She really hadn't. In fact, she didn't know what she wanted, besides her parents power; it was her right as their eldest child. But would she be bold enough to take it-possibly kill for it as they had done-if she got the opportunity? That was a real question. But first, she had to get to the bottom of this wanting the bad beta mess.

Justyn wasn't exactly the most patient of wolves, and he recognized that Fallon wasn't quite so, either. It's funny how they managed to get along somewhat well. That, of course, didn't excuse her for being the most annoying creature on earth. Yes, it had been decided. He had once thought Rose was annoying, in the beginning, but it wasn't just that she could be obnoxious - she could read Justyn like a book. She was one of those who was born in the light. All-knowing.
How ludacris this was. He smiled. She thought he was assuming that she had some sort of feelings for him. That was a bit out of left field... Or at least if it wasn't he was pretty much clueless then. At first he was tempted to play along with it like a joke - see how she would react, what she would say. Then he thought better of it. Too troublesome. Let's just let her have her turn of feeling like an idiot.
"Hey, you yourself called me the bad Beta. By your actions, it's clear you want me to be really really bad," he said, shaking snow off of his pelt. He gave her an obviously fake snarl and lifted his fine-haired tail high in the air. "You don't know that bad side of me though, as I've mentioned earlier."
"Now, stop asking me stupi questions and tel me who you are, where you came from, and what your favorite color is."

Fallon shrugged as he spoke, looking away for the most part. How did she miss that? Ugh, how stupid. She was thinking of ways to get back at him when her ears picked up on his last few words. She whipped her head around so fast, it looked like she should have broken her neck. She looked at him with deep green eyes, eyebrow cocked. Then she burst out into another fit of laughter. You're an idiot Justyn. But if you just have to know all that info, my name is Fallon, which is a dumb thing for you to demand because you already knew that. I came from the same valley as you, around the same time. But if you wanted better details, ask my mother where I came from. As for my favorite color...At this she tilted her head and looked thoughtfully at the sky, portraying the image of searching for an answer.
But she really wasn't. A smirk appeared on her maw as she looked at him. I have to say my favorite color is...none of your business. She lifted her paw, pretending to clean some of the snow off of it. She lifted her head to look at him, eyes mysterious. Now what's yours?
She stood up, tired of sitting for the moment. She stretched coyly, her eyes never leaving his frame. What an annoying wolf he was. She had to ask herself why she was still there, holding a conversation with him. But she realized that curosity had gotten the better of her, and the urge to know everything so she would possibly have a leg up later on. Or maybe it was something more, but she doubted that highly-she wasn't the one to have a crush, let alone like anyone other than her family and herself. Whatever it was, she found herself not wanting to leave just yet. How out of character.

He pricked his ears, his face hardening a little bit. She had come from the same valley after all. Mention of that valley only brought him bad memories; naturally, Justyn was stoic now. The snow, although they had both been out in the open for a while, was not bothering him yet. Although his fur was a little damp, it still kept him warm. But his muscles tesnsed as if they were trying to heat themselves up.
"...So you were alive for the earthquake, huh?" he asked out loud, staring into space for a second. Funny, perhaps he should've known that; after all, if Justyn willingly found his way towards Falling Moon as a youngster, Fallon probably did that as well.
Ohh yeah, where were they? Favorite colors.
"My favorite color?" Silver. Dark almond brown. "None of your buisness, either, Fawny" he replied, a smug look on his wide face. Ahh, sometimes being a hot-head was awesome.

Fallon looked at him as if he were an idiot-which wasn't too far from what she thought anyway. Yes, I was alive for it. It wasn't that long ago, and we're the same age smart one. She rolled her eyes in a disgusted way. After hearing his answer, she just smirked at him. No answer stealing allowed Pudgykins. Now let's see...least favorite thing in the world?
She circled in the snow, looking at the odd tracks she had made in the melting snow. They looked smashed together, as if her paws were elongated and ran into each other. In short, you couldn't tell where each separate print was because it all looked connected. Might be a neat trick to have later. Fallon looked up at Justyn, and scrunched up her nose, flicking her tail in his face as she did. He was so slow to answer, she thought.

Did he really say alive? He wasn't sure if he had meant the question that way. But then again, it was just a habit for him now to associate most of the wolves from the old valley as dead. That still didn't make sense, though. Obviously Fallon wasn't dead. Although, her sense of humor kind of is! He tried not to chuckle out loud.
As he watched her study her footprints, he found himself staring at her. She seemed to get so easily involved with anything around her. He had expected her to be the type to be disinterested in most things. But she wasn't at all what he had predicted. And he liked that. He quickly looked away from her when she turned her attention back to him. He still felt squeamish about letting her know too much of what he was feeling.
He cleared his throat. "My least favorite thing?" My father. Duke. Raiden. His face darkened for a moment. He didn't want to answer that truthfully.... "Anyone that hurts someone I care about. That's my least favorite feeling. I WILL go after them." ....but he found himself doing so anyway.

She had caught him staring, and secretly smiled to herself. Maybe her mother had done something right when she passed on her good looks. But Fallon's attitude and persona were all her own. She watched his expression suddenly change, as if something serious had wound its way into his mind. She received his answer with open ears, and nodded in a quick response. She thought about what he said, and his answer posed another question from her. And who do you care about, Pudgykins?
She knew that answer would clearly not be his father; his reaction earlier had told her that. But did he have siblings who had made it to Caden Valley? Was it his mother, that wretch Midnight, that he would protect at all costs? Or was it a female he had failed to mention earlier, someone Fallon may or may not know? Surprisingly, she found herself hoping it was one of the first two. Another female meant...complications. For a lot of things, the first being able to take her position as Beta. That was one more person she would most likely fight. Another reason it was a complication? The anonymous she-wolf might get in the way of Fallon delving deeper into Justyn's mind, a road block. Her heart suddenly began beating three times as fast, the pounding reminding her of stampeding horses. She prayed he couldn't hear it.
She looked away, hiding the sudden irritation in her eyes. She couldn't let him see she actually cared about what he said this time, that it wasn't just banter. She closed her eyes, willing the emotions she felt to go away, for the time being. Finally taking control again, and steadying her breathing, she turned back to face him as if nothing at all had been wrong. That short time it took her to look away had felt like an eternity. What was he doing to her?

Ah, maybe now things were getting too personal. Here in Falling Moon, it could be dangerous to tell anyone too much about your weaknesses. Especially as Beta of the pack, when you were autmotically expected to fight even harder for where you stood. To show that she had hit another one of his walls, his ears swiveled backwards, and he lifted his chin. He would not tell her about Rose today. Nor his deceased mother, nor Esmerelda...
"That..." he trailed off, watching her face curiously, "is for me to know, and you to find out." Knowing that his answer would probably irritate her, he offered her a charming grin, and let himself slide down onto his belly. He began to lick his front paw while his eyes stayed locked on hers.

Fallon chuckled as she whacked her bushy tail into his face, letting it stay there a little longer than expected. She rubbed it across his nose as she pulled it away, wondering what his response would be. Turning her head away from him, she said, I just tried Justyn. You're hiding again. Her voice didn't carry irritation, though inside she was. He was a tough cookie to crack, if nothing else. She shrugged it off, wondering how she could get what she wanted out of him. He was a very difficult wolf, and Fallon had had no trouble with males before. Not that she had been interested before anyway, but Justyn left her more intrigued every minute.
She rolled her eyes, more out of frustration than annoyance. She'd obviously hit a block that he wasn't ready to knock down yet, but she wasn't going to give up. She turned back and saw him looking directly into her eyes. Now what was he doing? If he was searching for a response, he wouldn't find one. But his grin suddenly made her heart leap. She almost cracked a smile of her one, the corners of her mouth twitching, but she didn't. She stared at him blankly, then turned away again. He was too much.

As her nose brushed across his face, the fine hairs began to tickle his nostrils, and he scrunched up his face in an attempt to block a sneeze. She had quite the weird personality. The name Fawny seemed to fit her well. He couldn't help but smile again, but he tried his best to look serious.
He also tried to ignore the feminine scent wafting from her tail. His belly churned uncomfortably. Was she trying to tease him? Was she suggesting something to him?
"And you're trying to seduce me again," Justyn responded, feeling the need to stand on all four feet once more. So he did. He watched her with a cautious posture, though he mostly just looked all too silly with his smiling-yet-serious face. "It is the wrong time of year to be throwing your tail in a male's face." His eyes twinkled.
"Well, I will tell you one thing - if someone tried to kill you, I'd come to your rescue." He ignored the fact that what he had said wasn't necessarily a poetic way to express such a feeling. But someone like Fawny should possibly appreciate it anyways. She'd better, because he wasn't about to offer elaboration.
A cold gust of wind ruffled his fur and made his eyes squint. He glanced at her tail; if only he had nipped at it. Then what would she have done? Haha! Then he felt like sighing as he stood there quietly for several moments. He was being awfully paranoid, shying away from a female. The only impression he was probably giving her was that he was a coward. Maybe he could share a few more personals...
"There's going to be pups this Summer, you know," he said matter-of-factly, his tail wagging twice. How to word it... "Special pups... Ones I'm going to protect." Justyn felt his skin grow hot as he suspected his words to sound like he was a father or something, which was most certainly NOT the case.

She turned at him, a sly grin on her face. Oh believe me, if I wanted you seduced, you'd already be rolled over on your back surrendering. She smirked and stood up as well, tail wagging slightly behind her. At the thought of him protecting him, she offered a small smile. No one would dare try to kill me, they'd have a hell of a fight. But if someone was fool enough to try, I am glad you are on my side Pudgykins. Whether it's because I'm your subordinate, or something else. She left a hint of mystery in her voice, and turned away slowly, giving him time to look her over.
As the wind picked up, her fur blew wildly. She too had to squint, but not when she turned back to him, the wind now blowing against the back of her head. She wondered what would have happened had he gone along with her "friendly" gesture. As she thought about the possibilites, his words slammed into her like a truck. Special pups...Ones I'm going to protect. So he was expecting??
She tried to mask the disappointment on her face, but was unsuccessful. Pups...of his own. ||With who?|| She wondered. She struggled to find words to respond to him, and her tail had stopped its wag. She had been right; there was a female to complicate things. She shouldn't have been surprised, but she was shocked about the sadness that suddenly loomed in her heart. Justyn would be out of reach; his mystery would remain hidden, and her birth right would never be given to her, by force or other means. She let out an inaudible sigh. Congratulations, to both of you. Do you know how many you're expecting? If only she had a clue that he was not the father.

Justyn analyzed every expression Fallon made, while his ears were pinned perfectly foward with the inent to listen. His face was mostly void of all emotion, but his eyes began to search her's. It was more than the blatant hint she had landed to him that got him feeling confused; she looked completely stricken at the idea of him being a father, and he wondered why. Well, of course, the answer was obvious, but the thought of it made him sick. Did he really want another weak link? Having Rose already was probably going to end his death. Whether by Raiden or Duke... Bleh.
A huge, toothy smile creased his eyes. It was still so very funny to see that face of failure. He didn't expect that from somebody like her. "Me? Siring a litter?" He made a visible shiver and frowned, shaking his muzzle downward as if he was backing away from an unedible carcass. "I'm lucky enough to be anything close to the mother," he said, wearing that same face he only ever wore when he was talking about his best friend Rose.
His eyes suddenly bore into hers with a challenging stare, and he took a step forward. "What would it had mattered to you, Fallon? Whether or not I was having my own pups this season? Just curious." As it was with Justyn, he was never afraid to put anyone on the spot.

Fallon recovered quickly, at least that's what her face showed. Her mind and heart still raced. She wrinkled her nose at him, feigning a look of irritancy. I just don't like the little runts is all. Personally, I do not wish to play babysitter to your pups or anyone else's in this pack. Which is most likely what would have happened, seeing as how I'm not an heiress, or of high rank. Your pups would simply be another nuisance is all. No offense. She raised a brow, waiting for a witty remark to escape Justyn's lips.
She looked at him, green eyes flashing. She was debating on whether or not to drop the conversation and leave or to play it cool as if nothing at all had happened. She tossed her thoughts back and forth in her mind, confused as to what she should do. Fallon had never felt so…insecure. Her entire life she had been confident in herself and her decisions and suddenly she wasn’t so sure. It was disgusting. She looked off into the distance, searching for something to put her focus on. But there was nothing.
She kept her eyes away from the brown and black male beside her, desperately trying to get her thoughts to move to something else. She had slipped up; she had let her emotions be seen. She had appeared weak in front of her superior. Oh, how she wished she could rewind the past ten minutes and take it all back. But seeing as how she was no magician, she would have to sit and wallow in her stupidity.
