A simple snort was given when he claimed all the information she needed was his status. She looked at his unthreatening lip curl, then raised a brow when she saw his goofy smile once again. ||Justyn....hmm. What nerve he has.|| She rolled her eyes once more. That would be some introduction Justyn. Now you? You look more like....
She paused to do her own examination, and even walked around him a few times, checking out every bit of him a she went. A decent looking male, she had to admit, even if he shared the blood of a psychopath. She ended her walk in front of him, standing tall over his head as she looked down at him. Pudgykins. Yes, a Pudgykins. You are a little on the big side, she laughed.
Noticing his sudden drifty look, her head tilted in curiosity. What was he thinking now? She grunted and sat down, their front paws almost touching. A strange day indeed...Wondering thoughts brought to her mind told her something was on his mind, something heavy. What it was she had no clue-and she couldn't tell whether she cared or not. Part of her actually wanted to know, but the other half, the half that she'd known her entire life, said forget it and let him deal with it himself. It wasn't her place to butt in, and she knew that. But still, this male, Justyn, intrigued her....
When he turned back, she noticed the change in his expression. She gave a slight frown. Something wrong?

A grin came to Justyn's face as he watched her crazy circling fiasco. A vulture eyeing dead meat was a good way to describe what it sort of reminded him of. Then he stared down at her paws, studying the difference in size compared to his own. Funny little things in life really could amuse you if you gave them a chance to.
He didn't let the pudgy comment get to him. He completely ignored it except for the small, sarcastic grin he gave her.
Then he witnessed curiosity get the best of her, and his ears shot forward in slight alarm. Oops, was he being a mood-killer? Oh well. It was just what he was. Fallon would have to get used to his fluctuating personality.
"Nahh, nothing wrong. There's just a lot you don't know about me. Even if you are familiar with my family history." He flashed her a mysterious smile, wondering how he could possibly ever explain himself to another wolf. Would he give her the same, sappy "forest fire" speech he gave to Rose? It all depended; she might not even ask any more of the subject anyway. And if she did, he might draw away, he realized. Emotions besides anger and fear were still a struggle for him.

Careful eyes watched his body language closely. The raising ears, the changing smiles. He certainly was a mystery; and that bothered and intrigued her even more. When he finally answered, she just chuckled.
Now hun, are you suggesting I dig a little deeper? 'Cause I'm not a fan of surface level crap. Things are soo much more...interesting, the further down you go. You learn a lot, some of it helpful, some not so much. Now, the way I see it, there's three types of wolves. Those who wear their ugly hearts on their sleeves, those who have walls that take time breaking down, and those who are utterly impossible to get through to. Which also goes paw in paw with boneheaded and stubborness. Now tell me, Justyn. Which kind are you?
On her face, it looked as if his smile hadn't fazed her; but it did. She actually wanted to know more, though it would be a cold day in hell before she admitted anything real about her own past. A sorry excuse for a mother, a loving, but weak father. Siblings who were probably dead and gone by now. She had just as many issues as he had most likely.
She kept her eyes on him as she thought about the question she had just handed to him, musing on how to respond to any of the choices he'd been given.

Three kinds of wolves. He listened to her thoughtful speech patiently, all the while watching the way her skin creased and stretched with every syllable she spoke. She wasn't anything like a Dancing Star, ohh hell no, but she was a lot more tolerable than your average Duke. Boy, what an understatement. Still, maybe she was just having an off-day like he was. Tomorrow he might wake up and be in a destructive mood. Maybe that's why he was always so afraid of expaning his own personal circle. There was too much to protect and not enough promise that it would never break.
His brows raised when she was done and eyeing him expectantly. He had already pieced together his own reply, but for some reason he waited before speaking, shaking his head like it was a sad, sad scene before him.
"Let me break it down this way: One, there's only a single wolf on this planet that I would ever openly display my heart to. She accepts my ugly heart and my tacky sleeve for what it is." He shrugged, a glazed and loving look in his eyes, then it disappeared, and he ventured further. "Two, I have walls. Don't we all? But only I will choose who gets to break these walls down and who doesnt. Still, with your appearance you seemed to have tore down the tops of those walls very quickly. I will admit that much but I will not concede to being comfortable around you just yet. Three... And this is the most important, Fawny...
"The more you get to know me, the more you will come to understand that I am very boneheaded and sickeningly stubborn."
The smile that lit up his face and touched his eyes was slightly out of character for him, and he knew it. He shouldn't have been so proud of those three responses, they weren't a big deal, they were just him plain and simply. Still, he couldn't help but wait for her response. His head lowered until he was now resting his face on his paws, looking up at her with proud, hazel eyes.

This male was truly hard to crack. He gave not a single choice, but all three in one. She listened attentively, her green gaze never leaving his face as he spoke. She gave a smirk as he wrapped it up, a very prideful look in his eye. She would find a way-that much she had promised herself. She was now highly interested in the little game they were playing. Maybe she should have worse than bad days more often. She still didn't approve of the name Fawny, but that would be a matter saved for another day. Her mind filled with wonder, and the will to know more, she replied.
Well, Justyn, believe me when I say I've seen some ugly things. You're heart wouldn't be the first or last. Those walls you have? Sure, you can decide who breaks them, but fate will eventually play her hand, whether you want her to or not. And please do explain, Pudgykins, what you mean by my appearance breaking those tops?
At this pause in her response, she raised a brow, and hit the tip of his nose lightly with her tail. And don't worry-I don't expect you to be comfortable around me. I'm not exactly all that comfortable around you either; I haven't gotten you quite figured out yet. And third, I can handle boneheaded, even stubborn. But don't be surprised if we end up butting heads-I can probably push just as hard as you in the "stubborn" department.
She had a gleam in her eye, and a mysterious and devilish look all at the same time. So, bring it on Pudgykins. Fallon gave him a smirk, the wheels of her mind churning. This had by far been the most interesting day she'd had since arriving in Caden Valley, aside from her meeting Dal'ryx. She lifted her front left paw, licking it gently.
Though she seemed preoccupied with the unnecessary cleaning, she stole glances at Justyn from her peripheral. She found it hard to stop looking at him, he seemed so...unexplained. And she planned to unravel him, no matter how long it took.

His mood switched again, leaving his belly doing flip-flops. He didn't like this one bit now, it was almost like she wanted to really know him better, and he was- dare he admit it- a little frightened. His eyes shyed away from her and he tried to invision some escape routes, a way out of this new aqquaintanceship. But he couldn't think of any way to turn his back on her without looking like a complete lunatic... And perhaps losing some of his dignity.
He cleared his throat and mumbled, "If you knew my reputation, you would understand what I meant by my crumbling wall-tops. Any other day you wouldn't have even gotten close to that fawn. Nonetheless get a taste of it."
Then he began to stand up, stretching his muscles lazily - but really just biding his time for something else. Then, standing at his full height, he turned his head and looked at her a bit boredly, like he was done with the conversation.
"Bring it on? Are you sure? ...Well, alright." Then a paw scooped at the icy snow below him, flinging it all straight towards Fallon's face.
Before he even heard anything make impact, he had already turned and started to prance away, his bushy tail streaming behind him and his tongue lolling from his mouth.
Okay, so it wasn't necessarily an escape that left him with dignity... But at least he was laughing out loud while he ran.

A yip escaped her mouth as she felt the cold, frozen water hit her face. She sputtered and spit, pawing at her face to remove it. When she finally did, she looked up, seeing his dark frame running further away. A low growl rumbled in her throat. ||Oh, HELL no.|| No way he was getting away from her that easily.
She took off running after him, her perked ears hearing his laughter. This wolf was insane! And she wasn't done with him yet. As she caught up with him, she growled again, and leapt, aiming to land on his back.
She didn't know what she planned on doing if she got hold of him, but she'd be damned if she let him get away with throwing snow in her face. She wasn't one to be messed with, she would show him that.
ooc: Ah, crappiness Dx

He thought maybe he was covering some good ground between them... Until he turned around to see her up and at 'em, running after him like a fox on a mouse. She was gaining on him already! Ah, she just wasn't going to give up, was she? Oh well, he could use a good challenge.
He was already running out of energy, having to break through the piles of fresh snow. Luckily for her, she was getting to follow the trail he was making. No wonder why she could catch up so quickly. Looks like he might have to turn and face his pursuer. At the same moment he began to turn around, however, his eyes widened to see that she was already mid-leap, flying towards him with a growl on her feminine face. In an attempt to escape, he overcorrected himself, slipping in the snow and falling face first into a wet pile of ice.
He let out a loud yelp when she landed on his lower back. Yikes. He'd feel that tomorrow.

Feeling his warm body fall under her weight, she pulled her full body on top of him. A smirk crossed her face as she heard a sound of pain underneath her, and she snapped her jaws in satisfaction. Spotting one of his ears as that hadn't been covered by the snow they'd landed in, a devilish grin placed itself on her face, and she aimed to bite it.
She continued to growl, pushing her full weight on top of him and trying to grab his ear, all the while clawing at his back, her tail stirring up snow into the air. Fallon had yet to decide how serious the damage she would inflict would be, though she figured not enough to seriously injure him and keep him away from his beta duties. Not like he was doing his job before anyway. Seriously, who needed a lazy beta? Thoughts of their earlier conversation crossed her mind. ||Fawny...One wolf...the whole pack thing...||Why was he making her think so much?
In an attempt to clear her mind, she decided to focus on pulverizing the cartilage on top of his head. A short howl of victory was released before she muttered something into his ear. I dislike you highly, Justyn. Though whether she truly meant it remained to be seen.

Justyn thrashed for a few moments underneathe her. He hadn't expected her to be this hot for revenge. A pit of dread grew in his stomach when he realized that he felt the urge to fight back. But not in any sort of play. His body was so used to retaliating to any kind of physical attack that he had to clear his foggy mind and remind himself that this was Fawny who was biting his ear, and no one else.
The adrenaline didn't disappear but his deathly mood began to switch when she whispered something in his ear. Doesn't like me? HA. He found himself laughing quite uncontrollably, and began using his weight and strength to stand up, hoping to throw her off of him quite easily. Hopefully she wouldn't hang on by an ear. His back was stinging a bit; she was seriously using her claws against him! Maybe he should fight back.
"If you think you dislike me now, you'll be proved otherwise after I do...this!" He swung his head around and aimed his jaws for her throat. Certainly not to kill her, whether or not that's what she would think it all was, but just to get her immobile and off of his back! He had a few things to tell her.

ooc: Again with the Fawny!!! xD ic: Fallon stopped digging her claws into his back, and focused on nibbling on his ear. Grunts could be heard between her puplike biting, though she wasn't trying to seriously injure him. She just wanted to show him a thing or two. Suddenly, she felt his weight shifting underneath her, and she could feel herself rolling off of his back into the snow. She let go his his ear, not wanting to rip it off with her.
As he spoke she rolled her eyes. Yea right Jus-her words were cut off by a sharp yelp as he took her throat, the surprise showing in her eyes. She glared at him, but didn' t dare move because she knew she could do more damage to herself if she did. She just hoped he wouldn't shake because she'd be done. Fallon wondered why he didn't take this oppurtunity to cause some serious damage-she wasn't in a position to help herself.
However, she soon realized he wasn't fighting back, just holding her down. Her eyes went from glaring to confused. What are you doing? Could you let me go now?

{HAHAHA, well, hey! I don't think she's actually told him her name, so what's a guy gonna do?? xDD and sorry a bit of a crappy post, I'm don't remember where I was orignally going with this....!} Good, she caught on to his idea immediately. Of course, he probably would prefer a girl who played rough, but he had no intention of hurting Fawny at this point... And that right there was the conundrum. This playful banter needed to be bitten in the butt before it decided to come for him instead.
He let go of his hold on her throat rather gently, pulling his face back to look at her with a dark expression. Why was he always the mood killer? Huh, nobody could blame him, after all, someone had to be dark, or else the word "light" wouldn't exist.
But no time for philosphies about opposites. He gave Fallon a very serious look, his feet digging into the snow as he began to rebuild his wall that was being torn. "You said earlier that you're not a fan of the surface-level crap... What you've seen here is just the surface of me. It may be a different side to me, for sure, but..." He certainly had to concur with that statement. Different side indeed. His eyes glanced down at the ground for a moment before shifting back up to her's. "I promise that if you try digging deeper you won't be a fan of the deep stuff anymore."
Suddenly he grinned, turned his head away to watch a snow owl flying through the thick foresty trees. "Then again, maybe I'm the one who's got this all wrong. You were probably telling the truth when you said you highly dislike me. I mean, what Falling Moon or Dancing Star wouldn't?"

A roll of the eyes was given to him in response. She wouldn't change just from one wolf, she knew that. Knowing what was inside that dark yet slightly attractive shell would just sastify her curiosity until something or someone more interesting came along. But considering she would put a lot of her focus into cracking his egg, that would take awhile for anything to pique her interest as much as he was.
Her eyes caught his sudden grin, and she raised a brow, wondering what he was thinking. When her ears caught what he said, she just had to laugh. My my, you have such a high self esteem don't you? You think you're that bad? Have you met our alpha recently? She shook her head, still chuckling. She couldn't help it. Truth was, she actually sort of liked this fool wolf, for whatever reason. The whole grabbing the neck thing, not so much. But she figured he couldn't be too bad. After all, he could've tried to snap her neck for coming near his little meal.
She finally stopped shaking from laughter and stood up from the submissive position he had put her in. Stepping closer and into his view because he had turned away from her, she looked him in the eye, holding his gaze. I'll be the judge of that, Pudgykins. Hopefully our next meeting will be this...interesting. With that, she sat down, waiting.

How was it that everytime someone spoke a few words to Justyn, he managed to find a way to disagree or contradict them? It was just in his nature to be a vindictive and contentious buttface. Because now he changed his mind about leaving her so soon and just wanted to argue some more. Always had to get the last word.
"Self-esteem doesn't quite fight my quota," he said, furrowing his brows and giving her a pouty look. "In fact, it's probably a lack of esteem that makes me so mental."
Hey, if you're crazy, admitting it is the first step to recovery, right?
He looked her up and down again. Okay, so she really was...just a tiny bit, maybe... Some eye candy. Nothing to be compared to Rose's beauty - Rose was beautiful, Fallon was...cute. UGH. Spring Fever. But, her golden chin and muzzle... And seriously, white legs?? Her pelt reminded him of the season Autumn. Golden maple leaves and trees and the beginnings of snowfall. Gee, his imagination was out of control.
"Our next meeting? You make it sound like my warning was a hint at me taking my leave. Honestly, I enjoyed kicking snow in your face."
He lifted his broad muzzle and smiled.

She snorted, shaking her head at him. That's exactly what I was talking about. Your lack of self esteem. Maybe sarcasm is just lost on you-most Falling Moons would have picked that up. Tsk. She shrugged her shoulders, turning away. As she did, she caught him staring, and she secretly smiled to herself. Maybe being related to Almira wasn't such a bad thing-she had to admit, she and Josiah had made some beautiful pups. And Fallon considered herself the best looking one.
Turning back around to eye him carefully, she tilted her head to the side. Oh really? You wouldn't like it so much if I had done the same. Although I certainly wouldn't have turned tail. Someone's being a bad beta, now aren't they? She raised a brow, her devious grin hinting at a joke.
She looked around for a bit, looking as if she was suddenly confused about something. She stood up, searching the snow as if she'd lost something. Out of nowhere, a paw was raised and a large amount of snow flew at Justyn as she swiped at a nearby drift. She didn't like the coldness of it on her pads, but it would be worth it if she could see Justyn's black face covered in the frozen liquid.
