She knew, she shouldn't be here. She knew, it could cost her dear life. But, she was curious, like any wolf would be. She paused at a river, Valley River, to be exact. The view was relaxing, making her feel free. But, she wasn't free here. She was in the Starlands, a place where a pack lived. Their territory, her life, which would they give away? Well, easy question, her life. She sighed, trudging along the side of the riverbank solemnly, her tail low in depression.
Her white fur was tinged with black mud from the long trek across the lands and her paws were aching with pain. She felt like just laying there and dying. "Don't give up, Mith!" a little voice screamed in her mind, making her feel delusional. She shook her head and looked ahead, seeing the path getting steeper and more foliage to get through. She sat down, looking ahead, dumbfonded at what to do. It would be hard, and dangerous...so, she'd just take a rest and go at it later. Sighing, she closed her pale eyes and let out a breath of hot air, soon, drifting off to sleep.

Caden was doing more patrolling and marking when he happened upon the mishappen white lump he assumed was a wolf. With a confused expression, he quickened his pace, the thumping of his footsteps almost insnyc with the rapid current of the river beside him. When the wolf was but a foot in front of him, he slowed abruptly but gracefully to a walk. He studied her carefully, wondering what she'd put herself through to get here. Instinctively, he took in her fresh and unfamiliar scent, saving it within the barriers of his brain for future reference. With a sigh, he lifted his head and peered around for someone who might've seen what had happened. When nothing met his gaze, he looked down at her again. For all he knew, she could've been chased by a bunch of rogue males. No trespassing wolf would dare to collapse in the unfamiliar lands of an unfamiliar pack. It was dangerous and very unlikely and so the only thing he could think of that would make her do this was that she was being chased by someone or something. Then again there were always the dim-witted wolves that lurked the earth.
He wasn't very eager in wakening her. She looked so peaceful and calm, almost as if this was the first real sleep she'd gotten in days. However, he felt it had to be done. Wolves might come along that aren't as kind as him. He cleared his throat and lowered his slended maw to the scruff of her neck, nudging ever so slightly and increasing the pressure at a slow rate so the sudden movement would'nt startle her. Roth skidded to a halt and stared in surprise at the scene before him. He was unsure what to say. This was not what he had had in mind when he had decided to go for a run this morning. He didn't recognize the scent of the white wolf. He sat down, his ears swiveled back, and confusion flickered in his golden eyes. 'Uh...Caden?' The young wolf spoke quietly. 'Who is this?'
Roth was a little wary of speaking up in front of the Alpha, but his curiosity got the better of him. The sleeping wolf was rather pretty, in his opinion. 'And, what's she doing here?'

Mith opened her eyes slowly and felt a tug at her scruff. She blinked drowsily a few times, before realizing where she was. She jumped up, escaping the lock on her scruff. Turning around, she saw a wolf, no...two wolves. The two, she asumed belonged to Caden's pack. "Who are you?" she barked in a panicked tone. Her legs felt weak in the presense of two wolves, outnumbered, she was. "P-Please don't hurt me..." she whined, sounding like a puppy. Her white fur was dingy looking, covered with dirt from the ground she had slept on for god-knows how long.
Mith looked over the two. One was a slim, handsome male, a nice chocolate brown color. And, the other...black, with a white-ish mask around his eyes. Both very handsome wolves, in their own ways. She wondered if this was the bad pack. Or the peaceful one...she sighed. All of this was very confusing.

Caden's ears pricked as the young male wolf's voice reached his ears. He lifted his head from the heap of fur on the forest floor at his feet. "I'm not sure," he murmured, sniffing carefully for any kind of familiar scent that would be detected in the thin walls of his nares. "She must be new here," he added, getting a good look at the wolf with the questions. His eyes brightened at the familiar face. He hadn't spent much time with Roth but he had seen him around the pack a few times. He dipped his head to him in a curt but welcoming greeting.
Caden watched intently as the wolf slowly awoke. At her surprised tone, he took a half step back, his foreleg bent to his chest, and his ears pressed back in alarm. He hadn't expected that kind of reaction from her, although he should have. She didn't know him and he certainly didn't know her. Any unfamiliar wolf would react the same way. "I'm sorry," he said hurriedly, struggling to reassure her that he meant absolutely no harm. "I didn't mean to scare you, and I was just wondering the same thing," he said, his voice returning to normal as the sentence progressed. He cleared his throat, his confident proud air returning to his voice and features. His paw was placed back on the ground as he studied the newcomer carefully.
"I'm Caden," he said, performing another dip of greeting and acknowledgment, only this time towards the unfamiliar female. Turning his head, he pointed his nose in Roth's direction. "And this is Roth, one of the pack members here," he informed her, a small smile coming over his maw as he became more comfortable with speaking to a stranger. "You here to join the pack, or just passing through?" he questioned, placing his weight on his haunches in the hopes that seeing him in a more comfortable position would relax her. [/blockquote]

'Hello,' Roth said softly. He looked curiously at the white wolf, wondering how she would answer Caden's questions. He knew that there was a protocol for this sort of thing. After all, it was rare for a loner wolf to venture this far into a pack's territory. Would she become a knew packmate? If so, he looked forward to getting to know her.
Roth knew that he did not have many friends within the pack. His only age-mate, Sylvia, did not have much in common with him. He stayed on the fringes of of things, while she got into all sorts of trouble. He would obey rules, where as she would disregard them. As for the older wolves in the pack, the only one that would usually pay attention to him was Taya, and he wasn't sure how to take that yet.
Returning his attention to the present, Roth spoke up again. 'What's your name?'

Caden could almost feel the young wolf's curioustity radiating off the grey texture of his coat. Well, he couldn't blame him. It was normal for pups to feel curious to everything that passed their way. He smiled at the youthfulness of Roth, and then lowered himself to his haunches as the young male took over the questioning that should be voiced by Caden. Though his mind was currently focused on Roth, his eyes remained on the she-wolf before him. He kept a calm display on his face, as not to scare her. Clearly she seemed terrified enough as it was.
Caden remained quiet as he waiting for the female's answer. Truthfully, he was feeling a little distant at the moment. There was much to think about, especially now. Things would settle down, but not until after the pups came. He would have to stay more watchful when they made their appearance. It was usually easy to gain his trust, but he couldn't find it in him to trust the wolves of Falling Moon. They were capable of so much, and with the coming of pups they'd probably want to broaden their horizons, gain more territory for themselves.
With a sigh his mind refocused and so did his gaze as he continued to wait patiently for her answer. [/blockquote]
