She wasn't interested in wandering too far into this area. It was damp, dangerous, and the early Spring insects were absolutely horrific. The white and brown female tried to stray towards patches of hot sunlight, where the ground was drier.
Taya was feeling slightly ornery today. Maybe not necessarly in the mood to fight; she just wanted to rip through the undergrowth with her head held high, and strike up a confident conversation with anyone that walked her way. Alright, maybe calling it "ornery" was a bad idea.
I've got no backbone for that kind of attitude, she thought to herself, scrunching her face at the same time while her toes squished disgustingly in a patch of mud.
It was probably just the fact that it was Spring, and her instincts were telling her to find a mate and make babies. Of course, pretty much everyone around her had already gotten to it, but Taya was just slow with everything she did. She liked to enjoy some time to herself and watch the stars or a nice sunrise/sunset. She sometimes craved the company of others (perhaps even companionship) but could do perfectly well if she was left to amuse herself. There were too many interesting things in this place to get involved with.
Like a dirty, stinking marsh.
She smiled to herself, watching a crow just a few feet away from her. It was watching her suspisciously, like she was planning on, well... Eating it.
Yuck!
Still, as another crow swooped down next to the first one, Taya licked her lips and snarled, faking out that she was about to rush them - and they took off into the air.
