If you go to the plot board, you can see if anyone's got plots that your character can join in and suchlike, and you can also create your own mini-plots with anyone (: Welcome to the forum by the way.

As for a first post, you can post anywhere and i'm sure that someone will join as long as you make it clear it's an open thread.
