It was funny how things changed. For a big part of his life, Dalryx had been on his own. Of course, it was his own fault and couldn't blame anyone but himself for that. But it was time for him to make a decision. Being a loner truly..sucked to be downright honest. Sure there was no one above you telling you what to do, but there was also the fact that you were-and let's be real obvious here-alone. True, he had found a friend in Fallon, if that's what you could call her. And it was because of her he decided to try to join the Moons.
He had tired of No Man's land, nothing to see, or do. The loners were bloody annoying, not that he'd met many anyway. And on top of that, it was getting close to winter, and as of late he had become skinny as a rag doll. He needed food if he wanted to survive, and the best way to get big game was to have others on your side. Besides, he had heard much about the alpha, Duke, from Fallon and he had to admire the old male. He actually had a sort of respect for him, listening to the stories of what he'd done.
As he wandered onto the Moons' territory, the brisk walk he'd had that morning turned to a slower walk. Fallon had warned him about Duke's temper as well. Not that he was scared, but he wished the female hadn't left him to fend for himself for his first meeting with the boss man. ||Stupid child...|| he thought. Stopping, he wondered what to do next. Sighing, he began to pace before calling out to the ones who were in command. Be it Duke, his mate (whoever she was), or the beta, he was ready to face them and ask for permission into their home, even if it meant he had to prove himself. Which he had no problem with either.
Stopping, he sat down, anxious to get on with it all.
