Welcome!
Moon-Star Wolves III was created on the 30th October by Paint and Webby. This is the third forum in the Dancing Stars/Falling Moon Wolves Plot, and most likely the final.
Some of our old, loyal members from the past two forums missed their characters, so we set Moon-Star III up so old characters could still be roleplayed, as well as involving new ones in a brand new plot!
First off, here is a larger, worded version of the map found at the top of the forum. Before anything else- if you haven't read the Rules, go and read them!
They're important to how the site works. Now to get onto the interesting part!
Assuming you have read the backstory at the top of the forum, you will have a rough idea of where your wolves are situated. However, perhaps a little more detail is needed...
Dancing Stars Pack:- Effectively, the 'Good Guys' of Caden Valley. Caden is currently the only Alpha, and he is well respected and powerful enough to be a threat to the Falling Moon pack. However, he is only interested in keeping his pack healthy in their current pack lands, which are the best in the valley.
Falling Moon Pack:- Typically, the 'Bad Guys' of Caden Valley. Duke is the only Alpha at the moment, and they are dangerous and compelling to dangerous wolves enough to be a serious threat to the Dancing Stars pack. As usual, Duke is plotting some sort of takeover- he is well aware his lands are not as good as Caden's and he wants to change that quickly.
Loners:- The wolves residing in No Man's Land are of many different type; some haven't found a pack to fit into, others despise pack life and there are even some who are too dangerous to be accepted into either pack.
Most of the characters here will be premades. That means that a lot of work has gone into making them original and interesting characters.
Each wolf requires a picture, so that other members can see what your characters look like. You may edit images to look more unique, but please be careful when it comes to copyright- make sure you know where your pictures come from before you post them.
When you begin roleplaying here, you will be allowed one or two characters. The maximum is currently three but you must ask permission for the third character, and it will not be granted unless you have proven yourself an active member. If we decide to expand that limit we'll announce it. There is an exception for mothers with newborn pups.
There is an obvious hierarchy within the pack, and these are the ranks:-
Alpha - The Leaders of the Pack. Both Male and Female are referred to as 'Alpha', not a female 'Alphess'. These have the most power and respect within a pack, they answer the calls of lone wolves who wish to join the pack, and they make all of the final decisions. Their choice can overrule that of any other packmember.
Beta - These are the second-in-command wolves. They are well trusted by the Alphas and therefore by the pack, and when the Alphas are not around, they can clearly take charge. They lead most hunts and can suggest decisions to be made.
Delta - These wolves make up most of the pack and are still trusted pack members. They have usually been around for a long time, or they are close to the Alphas. Pups who have reached adulthood are usually converted to Delta.
Omega - These wolves are still part of the pack, however, they may not be as well trusted, or they may have just joined the pack. Most newcomers are Omegas, and any shadier characters too.
Elders - Wolves don't live beyond 10 years in the wild, and that's if they're lucky. Any wolf beyond 7 years of age is considered an elder. Elders have the same level of respect as most Deltas.
Pups - Any wolf below the age of 1 is seen as a Pup. They have little to no responsibility and respect, and proving themselves as valuable pack members is often difficult.
(Loners - Wolves who have no pack, and therefore no position in the wolf hierarchy. No responsibilites and are not allowed to breed with pack wolves, which would jeopardize the pack wolf's position in the pack.)
You may make any graphics (signatures/avatars) you wish to display your wolves with each post. However, you must include your wolves' Name, Pack, Rank and a picture of them within your signature. Alternatively, you could simply have a picture or word which links to you wolf's biography post. This helps everyone who posts on a board with you to understand about your characters. This leads me onto my next point- the lands.
As is obvious, Stars wolves only go in the appropriate lands or No Man's Land. It is the same for Moons- only in their lands or NML. Loners are usually only in NML.
Nearly done, I promise! Let me clarify your roleplaying boundaries. Romance is allowed, to an extent, but please remember this forum is open for anyone to see how we roleplay, so please keep it fairly played down. Violence happens, they are wolves after all, but again, nothing too graphic please.
Last but not least, we currently have 2 Staff Members; Paint and Midnight. Paint is the 'Alpha' and Midnight is the 'Beta'. The 'Delta' and 'Omega' staff positions are not currently open but if I ever feel that we need another staff member I will offer the places.
Hope you join us, and if you have, hope to see you roleplaying soon!
