the captain's got his boots on and he's heading out the door leaving his lady alone thinking 'he don't love me no more' he's done with all this bullsh*t, he's going back to war if heaven is as heaven does then this is hell for sure.
"Rose, of everyone, I would've thought you would understand me by now," Duke's snarl ripped out across the foglands, having to bounce across the forested surface before reaching Rose, who was standing uncharacteristically far from her father. "I thought I did, but this is disgusting. How can you do this?" Rose snarled back, every bit as viciously venemous when it came naturally. Duke rounded her on, stalking towards her and she refused to turn away or even flinch. "You don't understand, Rose, I have always loved her, there's no choosing between it. Your mother is gone and-" "You really believe it's okay to just replace her like that? It's sickening, father, really," Rose spat, glad she was on the higher part of the land so she didn't have to crane up to look her father in their identical dark eyes.
He snarled loudly, pushing away from her and stalking further into the fog. Rose threw a snarl back at him, the sound strangely terrifying coming from between her teeth. She continued to glare after the place where he's disappeared, feeling uncomfortable as the mist clung to her pale fur. Finally his huge form lumbered back into sight, his dark eyes mad with anger. "Now listen to me, Rose-" he began but she growled sharply and he stopped, more angry with the surprise of her disobedience. "No, father, you listen to me," this time she rounded on him, not caring that she was smaller than him, she glared defiantly up at him with such maturity it scared him. She'd never really been a pup at all. "All this time, all along, you had feelings for Myu? Do you think that makes it any more acceptable to just cast the memories of my mother aside? Onisim is only just back, this hurts us!"
Duke went to open his mouth to talk and Rose snarled again. He bared his teeth, looming over her dangerously close to snapping point. "You talk as if you'll never love again," he finally spoke, menacingly, as if he was threatening her with the idea. Her ears folded back against her head and she narrowed her eyes at him. "I doubt I will, father, I have some damn morals," she hissed. He roared out angrily, moving towards her again as if to grab her throat between his jaws. Once again she didn't move an inch, but her eyes became even angrier. "Control yourself!" she screamed suddenly, and he snarled back in response. "Stop pretending you're going to hurt me, you can't anymore than you already have. Take Myu, take her and use her just like you used mum, and you use me. That's all you ever do," she grimaced painfully as this hit home, the expression mingled with shock on her father's features.
"You kept me around because you didn't want to lose me. I'm too valuable, aren't I? Lucky I got the brains, lucky the smart one survived right? And Tallulah's gorgeous, so she's useful for whenever you want to offer her up for your own gain. And you're happy Onisim's back because he's like a younger version of you- well I hope his strength turns against you. I hope they both turn against you, you deserve none of us," Rose really wanted to cry at this point, but the anger was locking the tears inside. She would not look weak in front of her father. His expression was changing from shock to livid fury. "I have never used any of you, or your mother, I love you all so much-" the words were choked with fury as Duke covered the emotion behind the love with his snarls. "My point is, you would not love us if we were not clever, or pretty, or strong!" Rose finally yelled. "And Myu's pretty and strong and clever, and you think she might like you back so you're going to use her to your advantage too. Just like everyone underneath you. Father, you don't give a damn unless someone serves their purpose."
Rose raised her lips at him a let a bloodcurdling growl rip between her teeth, and finally he turned away and stalked off. His muscles quivered in his legs with the restraint. If she hadn't been his daughter, he would have ripped her to pieces by now. A moment later, he'd disappeared into the fog and Rose was left in silence, angry and wound up.

Damn it. She really need to see him again. She didn’t really have a good reason to talk to Duke, perhaps about their last meeting and where it would take them, but Myu seriously didn’t want to talk about that. If anything, she needed to let out a lot of frustration. She seemed to have been ignored by the majority of Falling Moon, save a few passer byers that seemed more than eager to go on their way. Was she really that scary? This just made her angry, and that anger made her lash out at anyone she met. Things like that had been happening for these past few days, and all Myu wanted was some respect. Sure, being a Delta didn’t get you much respect but… Myu felt she deserved it for all she had done. She hadn’t murdered anyone yet.
Narrowing her eyes, Myu did what she did best. Run. Well, she was more jogging at a leisurely pace, but still. She made her way towards a place she was sure would be lonely, and wouldn’t bump into anyone. If she did, well, she would try and feel sorry for that wolf. Myu couldn’t really bring herself up to it, though, so she just made herself look forward to meeting a stray Moons. She made her way quicker, hopping over small upturned roots. She couldn’t hear anything, but that might have to do with the fact she wasn’t trying to hear anything. She was just blocking everything out.
Well, she was until she heard snarls. Slowing her pace, feeling a little excited, she made sure to head downwind and watched Rose’s back. She stared, listening to what she could hear. Something about someone being pretty, strong and clever. She tried to guess who it was, but then she heard the rest of her sentence. As Duke stalked away, Myu paused, ear flicking, and she slowly came out of her hiding place, standing a little taller than usual. She had never heard Rose snarl before, and it was actually kind of impressive. She smirked, circling round Rose. “A little argument with daddy, eh?” she taunted, letting a small growl escape, “Wouldn’t have anything to do with me now, would it?”

Rose snapped her head around, eyes boring into Myu. Filthy little eavesdropper, maybe she deserved Duke. Rose's lips raised over her long teeth and she snarled again at Myu, mirroring the same tone used for her father. The last person she wanted to see was this disgusting dog. Homewrecker.
"Do you think you're funny, Myu?" Rose's tone was dark and venomous, eyes dark and unreadable beside the obvious- pure hatred. "Do you find hilarity in the situation? Clever of you, you think, to stroll into my father's heart and push out any thought of my mother. Very decent of you, I really appreciate that."
Her tone was anything my appreciative, however, and she followed Myu as the other female moved, turning her head and body so she could continue to stare threateningly calmly at her. "Frankly, Myu, I think that you're very twisted if you assume your taunting will have any effect on me. You have no idea what is going on." Rose spat abhorrently.

“Neither of us are laughing. So no.” she growled in an answer. Myu didn’t find herself very funny really, she was too Falling Moon-ish for that. Honestly, she thought Rose should at least be a loner. She probably just stayed for her father and Shi. It was a nice thing to do, but not many Falling Moons did nice things for others. She glared at her beautiful, very feminine figure. She rolled her eyes, barely listening to the female.
Her ears twitched. Myu snarled very loudly at Rose, a very clear warning for her to shut up. She actually thought she stole Duke’s heart on purpose? Duke’s tiny, little, almost unnoticeable heart? “It’s not my fault your father doesn’t dwell in the past!” she snapped, “He did it by choice. He decided to move on, and I’m just here to help him.” she had an air of egotistical satisfaction around her when she ended that sentence. She narrowed her eyes slightly, stopping and facing Rose. Her claws dug into the dirt, and she suddenly found her punch bag.
“No, you don’t know what’s going on, Rose. You’re stuck in the past. You’re thinking everyone should remember those that died. Well, guess what? We’re not.” she spat, “Raiden isn’t coming back, Rose. Neither is Anevay. Why should Duke have to deal with you ‘helping’ him. Duke needs to move on so he doesn’t collapse with guilt on the inside.”
It was harsh mentioning Raiden, Myu knew that, but still. Rose needed to learn that Duke was his own wolf, and that he could do as he pleases. And it certainly wasn’t Myu’s fault. Besides, it wasn’t like Duke would forget about her completely, right?

Rose laughed sarcastically, although there was no humour in the tone. "My father? Collapse with guilt on the inside, now?" she hissed drily. "You think he'd even make it this far without me? Don't you dare pretend you're here to help at all, Myu, you're a selfish bitch. You don't give a damn about anyone but yourself. You don't care who you're hurting, as long as you can climb to the top, right? Squash everyone on the way up and snag my father's twisted little heart. I'll die before I accept your ruling over me."
She stepped towards Myu, snarling, pale fur rustling in the fog. She didn't feel uncomfortable now. She felt like this was appropriate- kill the homewrecker who was about to ruin everything, and maybe already had.
"You can pretend you know my father all you want, Myu, but you don't know a thing. For the past year I have done nothing but know him inside out, Myu, I know how his mind works more than he does." Rose hissed the absolute truth. "He'll use you, like he uses everyone." she finished coldly, glaring.

Myu growled even louder. She was not a selfish bitch! Sure, she could be a bitch, but she wasn’t selfish. If she was she would have taken Duke long before the earthquake. She snorted at Rose, standing tall, a bit taller than Rose, but not completely. “That’s true, but there’s enough room for one other wolf, Rose.” she said, calmly but with a clear hint of malice, “And that just happens to be Duke. Rose, I may want to be at the top, but the main reason I want to be Alpha is because it means I can finally be with Duke.” It probably was the most loving thing she’d ever said about Duke, and he wasn’t even around to hear it. “I don’t care if you refuse to do anything I say, or even admit I will be Alpha. It won’t change anything.”
She took a daring step forward. Grass and twigs crunching beneath her paws. She glared at Rose. How can she know Duke more than he knows himself? She hated hearing that saying, it was ridiculous. But the idea of Duke using someone was even more ridiculous. “He will not use me.” she warned. Myu really couldn’t take it. She took another step forward, daring Rose to do anything, muscles tense. Her teeth were bared. Myu would not start this fight, although she would be happy to if Rose took any longer.

Rose's lips pulled back over her teeth again and that terrifying snarl ripped between her long white teeth. The malice in Myu's voice was simply egging Rose on, she was barely listening to a word Myu was saying. Although, knowing her mind, she'd store it away subconsciously and mull over it later. For now, she didn't care.
"You are so narrow minded," Rose snorted, although there was no humour in her words. Her ears were pulled back against her slim head and she didn't care that Myu was a little taller than her. Rose always made an impression. "You deserve each other, you'll do what every Moons wolf does and use everyone around you. Climb your way to the top of the dogpile. Ugh, you disgust me, I don't give a damn how much you think you have feelings for my father."
Rose answered her oncoming physical threats by stepping forwards herself, lowering her head and narrowing her eyes. Go on then, her stance screamed.

She knew they deserved each other. She was perfect for him, and he was perfect for her. Rhyfel wasn’t enough. She snarled and ignored the rest of Rose’s words, leaping straight for the female. She could care less if Duke walked in, she could care less if, by chance, Rose had a friend wandering about to save her, Myu just wanted to draw blood from the incompetent little bitch.
She aimed for Rose’s right shoulder. Jaws wide open, and her right paw aimed straight for Rose’s left leg, hoping to scratch it as much as possible. If not, she could at least try and pin her paw down. Blood pounded through her ears, and she could hear nothing. All there was was Rose and black background. Her eyes were glistening with something almost evil.
A loud snarl escaped. Myu was still surprised at how threatening Rose could really sound, and it occurred to her that she could be just as vicious as Anevay or Duke if she wanted to be. But could she? Myu would find out.

Interpreting half of Myu's attack, Rose felt the contact of the other wolf's teeth in her shoulder but moved her legs in time to keep them in tact. They were vital in any fight of hers. She spun away with unsuprising grace, her shoulder aching although the skin had not been broken. Yet. There would be bruising, at least.
She ran at Myu and attempted to shove into her side, thinking perhaps it would not be a move that Myu expected from her. After all, she was slim and agile- not the shoving kind. That was a definite Duke move. She snarled again and whipped out of the way in case Myu attacked again. Then she ran back in and spontaneously decided to leap straight at Myu's face, teeth clamping down on anything they could find.

Damn it. She couldn’t taste blood, and Rose had moved away before she could bite down hard enough to keep her in place. Myu spun round as fast as she could to keep an eye on Rose, but she had already shoved into her and she stumbled back. Damn it, what the hell? She seriously wasn’t expecting that. Narrowing her eyes, she caught her balance and snarled, running at Rose, opening her mouth slowly to attack.
But Rose went for her face. sh*t. Myu didn’t back down, but the panic inside her rose in an instant. It all felt like it happened in slow motion. She felt Rose’s teeth bite down above her eye, flattening her ear, and a bit below it. She snapped her jaws and snarled, feeling blood dribble. Myu backed up as soon as possible, lashing out at Rose’s maw with her right paw. That little...
She closed her eye so blood wouldn’t get into it. Her head ached like hell, as if thunder was rumbling inside it, and the area below her eye was f*cking sore too. When her paw landed on the ground, hitting Rose or not, she slipped round to the right side quickly, so she was diagonal to Rose, then launched at her shoulder, ready to bite. It was an awkward angle for Rose to reach, but she could be quick about it.

Myu didn't apparently leave any time for Rose to snarl before her claws collided with the side of Rose's maw, ripping into it and splattering her beautiful white face with blood. She clenched her teeth together, managing not to cry out with pain. Then she looked up at Myu hellishly again. This bitch would pay, somehow, for the pain she was causing and no doubt going to cause in the future.
Still, there was little to no time to think, as Myu was once again attacking her at the shoulders. This time, Rose managed to pull herself backwards and avoid the attack, although it was only by a little. She even felt some of her fur pulled out, which was enough to panic her.
The panic subsided quickly, though. Because Rose had some nerve picking a fight with Myu, and that nerve was never going to fade away. This fight was literally the beginning of a long metaphorical fight, and Rose was sure as hell not going to back down. She'd die before she gave in to Myu, no matter who won this fight.
Because this wasn't a battle, this was a war.
Without further contemplation, Rose followed her instincts and ran at Myu's side, going not for her shoulder like Myu usually did but for the side of her stomach. If she could reach it before Myu moved, she hoped it would hurt. A lot.

She was happy she got Rose on the face. Hopefully it could leave a scar, to show she could take on Rose and she would happily do it again. But would she? Would Duke hold her back? No, Myu was her own wolf, not blinded or led by love. If fighting Rose again led her back to square one, then so be it. She wasn’t really giving up anything, anyway. The female snarled at Rose when she missed, but the fact she got some fur out helped her feel more confident. Not that she needed it. She felt the fur rest between her claws, but it fell out when Myu attempted to dodge.
Myu tried to dodge Rose’s attack to her side, but wasn’t quick enough when it came to side-stepping. Rose managed to get her, and draw blood, and Myu narrowed her eyes. The pain was unbearable, and she was upset it wasn’t Winter. If it was, the winter-coat would surely help. Sadly it wasn’t even Autumn yet, so Myu had a while to wait. She glared at Rose. Her neck was an open target, and Myu had no hesitation going for it, even if it hurt her stomach to move.
She hadn’t felt like this about Rose before. This burning hatred that was going through her very mind and soul was amazing. She hadn’t even concentrated on the female before, but now, after a few comments about Duke using her, she wanted her to die. Blood seeped into her eye and she had to close it tightly, feeling the stinging, and growled in irritation. She snapped at Rose’s neck, no where near the jugular vein. Myu wanted her to die, just not by her own claws. Well, not until Myu had a very good reason at least.

Rose didn't allow herself to feel triumphant when her attack worked, because she knew there was no time for it. It was attack after attack with Myu, and Rose certainly wasn't stupid enough to start celebrating yet. Not until she was dead.
However, Rose was less experienced than Myu when it came to fighting. Having Moons blood directly in her blood -of the Alphas, no less- she was a natural when it came to survival. And she was okay at fighting, when she put her mind to it she could do a hell of a lot of damage.
The fury was making her see red when Myu's teeth snapped around her neck. This time it was involuntary; Rose cried out in pain and what happened next happened very quickly. First of all, she tried to pull herself out of the way of Myu's teeth but ended up only with deep wounds in her neck, and secondly Duke showed up.
He'd gone wandering to try and clear his mind. Getting lost in the fog had been fine, then he'd found his way out and back over his land. Then guilt had set in, which had made him angry, and he'd come back to find Rose. Only to find Myu's teeth wrapped around Rose's neck. Not near the jugular, but it was pretty obvious they were in a fight; both were spattered with excessive amounts of blood.
"What is this?!" he roared furiously, running forwards at them as Rose came free from Myu's grasp. He threw himself between them and snarled at each in turn. Rose backed up slightly, her neck was bleeding freely and she was in a lot of pain. She didn't even look at her father's huge shape before her, she kept her eyes trained on Myu, hate eminating from every fibre of her being.

Myu bit down as hard as possible when she knew she had a good grip, mainly to stop herself from yelling out at the pain in her stomach. When Rose cried out, Myu immediately moved out of the way of her teeth, and Myu knew the wound was bleeding. She glared at Rose, but she was already out of her grip. She snarled loudly at Rose, and then at Duke, not really taking in the fact it was Duke. She still had her eye closed, and now that she was standing still, all the wounds were sending pain through her body. Damn.
She glared at Duke, standing straight with her head low. She was breathing quite heavily, and her bloody teeth were still bared. The growl died down and slowly she stopped baring her teeth. Frowning, she glared at Rose with one eye and slowly opened her dark eye, which was slightly tinted with red from the blood. That would come off with some water for sure. Myu refused to back up like Rose did, and her chest stopped heaving, breathing back to normal.
She glared at Duke. “We were fighting.” she stated the obvious because she had no other answer.

Duke had to pull every part of him in to stop himself from snapping Myu's spine right there for that obvious statement. Where did she get the nerve to attack his daughter? He raised his lips and his snarl erupted terrifyingly loudly between his huge teeth. Sure, Rose's was pretty scary but Duke's simply dwarfed hers.
"Think I don't know you were f*cking fighting, Myu?" he spat at her, face twisted into an expression of terrific rage which suited his features only too well.
Behind him, Rose stood up from her crouched position. She wondered what would've happened if Duke hadn't showed up. Who would've won? Her expression was massively icy and wholly threatening. She was going to win this war, no matter what, and she didn't need her father to do it. Whatever they had been to each other before was now gone, he might as well be dead to her.
"Control your bitch, Duke," she hissed, and Duke had to round on Rose, who didn't flinch. She tilted her head back to meet his eye and snarled straight back at him, tone layered with every kind of hate. "Do it before I do it for good."
"SILENCE!" Duke roared at her and she snarled even louder in response. Then she looked down at Myu and spat at her before turning tail and moving away into the fog. As far as she was concerned, this was not over. To hell it was not over. Duke turned back to Myu with dark, hellish eyes.
