Personality: Justyn could be described as a "tortured soul." Always shifting from one ideal to the next, Justyn thrives on the pursuit of justice or sometimes just his own flawed beliefs. He is full of vigor, but equally matched is his dark despair, which has been buried deep within him since puphood and seems to surface only when someone he deeply loves is in pain or when someone brings up sore subjects. As it is, he has many weaknesses, and several of them are now well-known among his contemporaries.
He is not one to be social, however it could be said that he does have a way with words. He is honest and values what he believes to be truth, often to the point where he will hurt others with his speech if it's the only way to get his point across. Perhaps, all Justyn really wants is to be understood, appreciated, loved, and depended upon, which all stems from his horrible puphood and the trauma he has experienced. He can be prone to massive insecurities only when there is something important to him on the line, but usually one can never tell since he does not wear fear outwardly. Anger, however, he has trouble hiding, which only makes it easier for others to push his buttons.
He has trust issues because of the belief that his mother irresponsibly lied to him and his siblings about the condition of their father, who was mentally deranged and had murdered many, including Justyn's grandmother. Towards the end of his puphood, Justyn witnessed many of the arguments between his parents, the pack, and his mother's secretive despair. He is uncomfortable with the sadness of others close to him, but is considerably cold towards those he has no connection to. Despite his lack of empathy for others, Justyn does have a kind streak in his heart and is known for reaching out to some in need, particularly the young in the pack, provided they demonstrate a respectful stance toward him. Some may respect him out of fear due to his temper and his lack of patience, not to mention his general instability, but under the surface you can find the makings of a dependable and loyal friend, if only you can breach the layers.
History: Justyn was the third-born son out of four, born to the previous Alphas of Dancing Stars - Caerwyn and Midnight. His father had a debilatating disease that had quickly created a wall between father and children, and for a while, Justyn didn't understand why Dad was never around. When Justyn was old enough to begin to understand that it was a disease that tore his father apart, he never had time to think much about it, since that was when the earthquake had struck, and the valley was torn to shreds - along with his past.
He had seen his mother's dead body for himself, since he was with her when everything had happened. The only reason why Justyn survived the earthquake was because his mother's body had acted as a shield from the tumbling debris that had killed her.
When he realized that he needed to leave his mother's side in order to survive, Justyn wandered away from the tomb with a broken mind and a battered body. To this day, he still remembers the feeling of starvation and hopelessness, the ache of his bloody paws as he climbed over debris and what seemed like mountains to the small pup.
After two weeks of no food and little water, the first live wolf that Justyn met after the big quake was Duke. Of course, Justyn had never before seen Duke, but he recognized him right away just by the look in his eyes. At first, he was scared. Duke was going to kill him; after all, he was the son of the Alphas, which also meant a threat to Duke's livelihood. But death didn't happen; instead, Duke offered the pup to come under his wing, to come and live in his pack. Duke had recognized Justyn's potential as a fighter and let him live instead of killing him.
Normal Justyn would have been reluctant to join Falling Moon, but torn-up Justyn was too bitter to remember the pain that Duke had once caused his family. With a head held high, the pup followed behind Duke and soon let his anger become the clay that molded his new personality.
As he grew up, Justyn flew up the ranks in the pack, his temper getting him into trouble with everyone around him, but also gaining him respect. Pretty soon he found himself as Beta of Falling Moon, commanding power over those weaker than himself, but not entirely interested in surpassing his Alpha. Recently, however, Justyn has had a falling out with his best friend and almost-lover, Rose, which caused a bitterness to well up in his heart. This led to his fall as the Beta in a fight with Rose's son, Bion. Justyn is no longer Beta, and is currently mates with Fallon.
Physical Description: Built like his father and grandfather before him, Justyn has a large and muscular body that makes him generally bigger than many other males his age. His fur takes after mostly his father - black based with a lighter brown blaze on his shoulders and back. He's got a small wisp of white fur on his chest, not necessarily very noticeable. His eyes are a hazel color, the most dominant color being yellow.
