I'm sensing a disagreement in opinions here...

The problem is, that this isn't just Anevay vs. Duke. The point of the loners is the fact they don't want to be in a pack, but the Moons are completely immoral. Duke wouldn't be afraid to fight Anevay, nor would Myu (she'd actually quite enjoy it, haha) and Onisim has his chunky heart set on the Alpha position as well. So, even if Anevay does go up against Duke with a few loners, the Moons wolves are all out for themselves and will eventually just do what suits them best.

And although Caden is trusting, he's definitely not stupid. I described him as 'a big enough threat to Duke' to resist the pending attack, therefore I don't think he would fall so easily for Anevay's sob story, especially if previous Empyrean Stars wolves can tell him what she's like. The Stars would surely be content to let civil war break out in the Moons pack as long as it didn't affect them? Caden's not going to run his pack halfway into a war when there is no need for it.

But feel free to object, this plot does have some potential.

You've covered all the problems, and we found there's no way around them. Anevay does want to fight Duke, but obviously Duke has wolves who'd fight for him and with him.

Ehh, I say we just stick with Kinaki-kills-many-plot. You can incorporate a Duke x Myu war with that if you wanted to, Smilies. They could just jump down each other's throats every time another wolf dies... Like, "IT'S YOUR FAULT, BASTARD."
But for now I personally just like the thought of our wolves running around thinking they're all going to be slaughtered one by one by some mysterious creature.

Wellll, just to get everyone roleplaying again... how aboutttt.

The Winter gets really bad. The prey's disappearing, and FM & DS might have to join together to help each other. Dunno how joining together would help, but perhaps one pack seems to have more food than the other. And the loners could cause some trouble by entering pack lands to get prey...

Joining together would certainly be interested... Very interesting. I just couldn't see it ever happening xD

Maybe DS could be struggling and a few wolves from FM decide to help them. Or the other way around... Actually I think it would be cool to have wolves going behind Caden's back to feed their enemies out of compassion... Even though Caden would probably do that anyway.

MAKE WAY FOR THE EX-ALPHA, CAERUS!
He was alpha in another land, and he's sure to stir someone up.

Probably have a scuffle with Duke, but it might be because he's so annoying.
Perhaps in Spring/Summer, he might join DS. It might cause some tension between him and Caden, because Caerus is kind of used to giving orders, as gullible and excitable as he is.

So, anyone want to plot with Caerus c:?
