Drake watched the small transaction of words between the two she-wolves. He noticed Akiko seems hesitant to go see her mother. But he knew she would follow Bandit's orders none the less. When spoke asking for him to meet her mother and explain where she got her coat from his eye brows furrowed. He knew pups to ramble on but she had caught herself changing the subject. His expression was clear and held curiosity and worry. After the pup stopped speaking he realized she wanted him to answer her.
"I would rather meet your mother first, after all she is probably worried that you disappeared. If you were my own I would be worried."
Drake knew if he choose that she would be either nervous to let him meet her mother or try to avoid it as much as possible. Akiko after all had told him little of her family, and he began to wonder why? Was there a dark secret to be told? Or was she just being a foolish pup that quarrelled often with her mother. She had never spoke of her family relations with him and he was surprised to find she had a brother and sister. What else was she keeping from him? This made him slightly wary of Akiko.
She didn't lie to him but she also hadn't told the whole truth. There had to be a reason behind it and he hoped it was a good one. He despised liars and fakers, he was sure she wasn't a liar but perhaps a faker. She seemed to be happy but something was under her happy surface and he wanted to find out. She was unsettled with herself, something of her past or maybe present was deeply bothering the pup. He knew that it just wasn't because of Caden, Their lost leader he had never met. He wondered what Caden was to her? Brother? Father? Uncle? Maybe even lover? All the thoughts and questions rambled in his mind disturbing him quite a bit. He need to find out more about Akiko, possibly more than she would like but he would get it out one way or another.
